Overview

EG is Sub-Frost’s inhibited ethylene glycol: 95 weight-percent ethylene glycol with a specially designed package of industrial corrosion inhibitors, dyed orange for fast leak detection. Where the system is sealed and operator toxicity isn’t a concern, ethylene glycol delivers the most cost-effective freeze and burst protection available, with replenishable inhibitors that are easily maintained over a long service life.

It’s widely used across industrial HVAC and anywhere a low-freezing, water-based heat transfer fluid is required, providing freeze protection below −60°F and burst protection below −100°F at full strength.

Applications

  • Industrial HVAC
  • Sealed systems where toxicity is a non-issue
  • Low-temperature heat transfer
